Singapore Grand Prix Betting Preview
With the Italian Grand Prix behind us and the Russian Grand Prix cancelled this year, F1 fans and bettors got plenty of time to prepare for the next major event on the F1 calendar: introducing our Singapore Grand Prix betting preview. Having extra time before the event is invaluable for drivers, as the training required to prepare for the gruelling circuit is intense.
No other race challenges a driver the way the Singapore Grand Prix does. This race has 23 turns (only the Jeddah Corniche Circuit has more) and bumpy street conditions that force drivers to move at a slower pace over the 5.063-kilometre circuit. Stretches offer drivers a moment of respite, but the Singapore Grand Prix circuit has few of them. Drivers need to be on the ball for the entire 61 laps, testing their mental resilience just as much as their physical strength. The hot and humid weather takes a toll as well, with drivers often losing roughly 11 pounds through perspiration during the race.
This year’s Singapore Grand Prix begins on Friday with practice runs. On Saturday, there will be more practice runs and the qualifying session. The race takes place on Sunday between 8 AM ET and 10 AM ET (8 PM and 10 PM Singapore time) and can be streamed on the TSN network. F1 Betting is open in our sportsbook through futures, head2head, and a large suite of specials.

Max Verstappen -250
The big question in F1 racing is “can anyone beat Max Verstappen?” The 24-year-old Dutch racer is defending his F1 World Champion title from 2021 and could do it this weekend if some specific scenarios fall into place. The Red Bull driver is at the top of the F1 odds board for winning the Singapore GP outright at -250 and is available for even money to set the fastest lap.
Following up last season’s incredible run with another, Verstappen is at the top of the standings with 335 points—116 points ahead of his closest competitor, Charles Leclerc. Verstappen has won 11 of the 16 races on the schedule so far and is currently on a five-race win streak that includes victories in France, Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands and Italy. In Italy, he won by 2.446 seconds despite starting in the seventh spot on the starting grid.
Charles Leclerc +400
Behind Verstappen on the odds board for Formula One betting is 24-year-old Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc at +400 to win the Singapore GP. Leclerc started his F1 career three years later than Verstappen and had an incredible run in his second year in 2019, when he finished fourth in the World Drivers Championship. This is his best year yet, as he claimed first-place finishes in two of the first three races of the season, with a second-place result in the third. He also won the Austria Grand Austria Grand Prix in July when he finished 1.5 seconds ahead of Verstappen. Verstappen got him back at the Italian Grand Prix, with a 2.446-second cushion separating them.
Carlos Sainz Jr. +1000
There’s a bit of a jump after Leclerc, with 28-year-old Carlos Sainz Jr. (Ferrari) sitting third on the odds board at +1000 and fifth in the standings with 187 points. Sainz won this year’s British Grand Prix when Verstappen’s car sustained damage mid-race, and finished second at the Canadian Grand Prix, Monaco Grand Prix and Bahrain Grand Prix. A messy pit stop and five-second penalty led to an unsatisfying eighth-place finish at the Dutch Grand Prix in early September.
Alex Albon Returns as a Betting Option
Williams Mercedes driver, Alex Albon is returning to the mix after missing the Italian Grand Prix earlier this month. On the Saturday of the Italian GP weekend, Albon needed emergency surgery on his appendix and then experienced complications afterwards. That meant Nyck de Vries had to stand in on short notice. De Vries ended up finishing ninth, seven seconds after Alphatauri RBPT driver Pierre Gasley. Albon is a +200000 long shot to in the Singapore Grand Prix betting.
Previous Singapore F1 Races
This will be the first Singapore Grand Prix to take place since 2019 when Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) won his fifth title. Vettel won from 2011 to 2013 and again in 2015 before the 2019 victory. Retiring after this season, Vettel will compete at the track he dominated for so long for the last time. Grab him for the sake of nostalgia at +100000 in the sportsbook.
Other drivers to dominate in recent times at the Singapore Grand Prix include Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton won his first Singapore Grand Prix in 2009, one year after finishing third in his first try. Vettel ultimately interrupted Hamilton’s reign with his three-year streak, but Hamilton got another win in 2014 and back-to-back wins in 2017 and 2018. Hamilton is fourth on the futures market to win this weekend with +1400 odds. He’s sixth in the standings with 168 points and is coming off of a fifth-place finish at the Italian Grand Prix.
Canada’s Best Hope
Canadian F1 fans hoping to bet on Canadian drivers will place their hopes on two competitors: Lance Stroll with Aston Martin and Nicholas Latifi with Williams. Stroll has been the more successful of the two this season, with five tenth-place finishes; he’s +5000 to win the Singapore Grand Prix outright and came as close as eighth during his debut year in the F1 in 2017. The following two years he placed 14th and 13th.
Latifi is on an expiring contract with Williams and they’ve stated that he will be released after the final race of the season. While he hasn’t reached the level many hoped for, he did manage a 12th-place result at the British Grand Prix this season. This will be his first and last time competing at the Singapore GP, unless he signs with another team. He’s a long shot to get his first F1 victory here with +200000 odds in Bodog’s Singapore Grand Prix betting.
