NFL Week 9 Preview
It’s hard to believe we’re already at the halfway point, with Week 9 of the NFL season just about to kick off. As usual, the Bodog sportsbook is standing to attention with a slew of NFL betting previews to keep your eye on.
We’ve seen a lot of action since the start of the season. The Packers finally slashed the Cardinals’ winning streak, and Dak is back for the Cowboys along with master interceptor, Trevor Diggs, leveling up the franchise in record time. The Patriots have yet to see their two new tight-end recruits live up to expectations, and the Jags are the same old Jags – despite Trevor Lawrence joining the roster as a highly anticipated quarterback.
There’s plenty to talk about then in Week 9.
NFL Game Previews
There’s a huge 14-game slate in the coming week, with these key matches keeping us on the edge of our seats.
New York Jets @ Indianapolis Colts
Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will see a clunker of a match take place on November 4, when the low-performing and injury-ridden Jets travel to meet the Colts, who are attempting to cover -10.5 against the New York Jets, who have a +10.5 head start.
Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars
TIAA Bank Field and the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Buffalo Bills on November 7. The Bills have a leg up with their defense, and they’re expected to easily cover -14.0 points against the Jaguars, who have a +14 point head start.
Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints
The Falcons may be at a 3-3 record, but none of those wins were convincing enough to instill unwavering confidence for their November 7 match against the Saints at Caesar’s Superdome. Atlanta have a +5.5 head start on the spread, and the Saints, who had defeated their division in 2020, have to cover -5.5 points.
Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals
November 11 will have the Bengals staying home for the first time since Week 5 to host Cleveland at Paul Brown Stadium. They’ve got to cover -3.0 points against the Browns’ +3.0, and a win would make Cincinnati the leaders of the AFC North.
Houston Texans @ Miami Dolphins
Miami might not stand out as a powerhouse in 2021, but at least they’ve coasted their games neck-and-neck, losing by only three points in four of their games. They’ve got a great chance at covering -7.0 points against Houston on November 7, who, at this point, are hoping to simply do their best with a +7.0 points head start against the Dolphins on at Hard Rock Stadium.
Las Vegas Raiders @ New York Giants
The Raiders are coming out of bye week at 5-2, with Derek Carr on their roster who is 1-2 at the stadium in New Jersey. Having said that, this will be Carr’s first time facing the 2-5 Giants at MetLife on November 7. The Bodog sportsbook has Carr and the Raiders down -3.0 points on the spread, and New York has a +3.0 point lead.
Minnesota Vikings @ Baltimore Ravens
The Vikings just lost to the Cowboys, which tells us they likely won’t stand a chance against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, although Baltimore did lose 41-17 to Cincinnati. The underdog Vikings have a +5.5 headstart on the Bodog sportsbook, and the Ravens are favoured with -5.5 points to cover on November 7 at M&T Bank Stadium.
New England Patriots @ Carolina Panthers
The defensive-heavy, 4-4 Panthers will host the Patriots at Bank of America Stadium on November 7. New England beat the Los Angeles Chargers 27-24, locking them in as -3.5 point favourites, and Carolina as +3.5 point underdogs.
Los Angeles Chargers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Fans were left frustrated when the Eagles didn’t put up much of a fight against the Raiders in Week 7, but they’ve got a shot at redemption on November 7 with a +3.0 point head start when they face the -3.0 Chargers at Lincoln Financial Field.
Green Bay Packers @ Kansas City Chiefs
The Packers defeated the Cardinals 24-21 in one of the biggest upsets of the season. They’ve got a +2.5 point head start on the spread against the favourite Chiefs, who have to cover -2.5 points on November 7 at Arrowhead Stadium, despite having a faltering defense.
Tennessee Titans @ Los Angeles Rams
The Titans jumped up to 6-2 after defeating Indianapolis on October 31. They’ve got a tight offensive line this season, and on November 7 we’ll see if it’s enough to surpass their +7.5 point head start against the Rams, who have to cover -7.5 points at Sofi Stadium.
The odds are up, the bet slips are open, and all the action of Week 9 is upon us. Time is running short if you want to grab hold of the best odds for NFL Week 9 for the biggest returns.
