NFL Week 11 Preview
Week 10 certainly put on its dancing shoes for NFL fans, and bettors who took the road less travelled may have been rewarded for it. The Dolphins pulled a rabbit out of a Riddell and set it loose on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in an upset that made oddsmakers blush, and let’s give due credit to Washington, who not only held their own against the Buccaneers, but straight-up took them down.
It’s a fresh week with an extra fresh preview of Week 11, but our NFL betting preview still doesn’t hedge its bets. The Bodog sportsbook is ready as ever to take your wagers – and with the lessons of those shock results in mind, we bet you’re thinking about wandering off the beaten betslip track, too.
NFL Game Previews
And here we offer our weekly, snack-sized snippets for Week 11, so you can get a taste for the ears-up/tails-down odds, and the matches which might just see some down-and-out teams bark their way to a win.
New England Patriots @ Atlanta Falcons
It’s a tale as old as time, and on Thursday night, the Patriots will see if they can keep up their winning legacy against the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, with rookie QB Mac Jones bravely stepping into Brady’s old cleats. The Falcons have a +6 advantage ATS against the Patriots at -6.0.
Baltimore Ravens @ Chicago Bears
With Rashod Bateman fit and ready to pick up any slack from Lamar Jackson and reverse the recent misfortune of the Ravens, there’s a better-than-good chance that Baltimore can cover the -6.5 spread against the Bears on Sunday. Chicago, having just come off of a bye week, have a +6.5 point head-start as underdogs at Soldier Field.
Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
This is only the fourth time that Green Bay are away favourites, and they have to cover -2.5 points ATS at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, and they’ve proven themselves in all… save the one glaring 38-3 blemish against the Saints. Unless that history repeats, the Vikings have an uphill battle ahead as underdogs with a +2.5 lead.
Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans
The Titans have won their last 6 games, and it’s likely they won’t break a sweat covering the -10.5 points against the Texans’ +10.5 at Nissan Stadium on Sunday. But, as the lessons of Week 10 taught us, never write off an underdog, no matter how limp his tail is.
Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills
The Bills are still on a high after the major 45-17 defeat against the Jets last Sunday, marking their 6th win of the season. The Colts have won 5 games, including against their AFC rivals the Jaguars. The Colts are hitting the grid at a +7.0 head start, alongside the Bills who will sport a -7.0 deficit at Highmark Stadium.
Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets
The Dolphins’ major upset against the Ravens last Thursday makes them likely to cover their -3.0 spread against the Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, but that predicted win might be largely due to backup Tua Tagovalioa herding the team to pull it off seemingly out of nowhere. Who knows if they can do it again? The sportsbook has the Jets at a +3.0 lead ATS.
New Orleans Saints @ Philadelphia Eagles
Despite the Eagles being on a brutal losing streak for their past 5 home games, they are still the (slight) -1.5 favourites in the match against the +1.5 Saints at Lincoln Financial Field. Philly did manage to overtake the Broncos last Sunday, but the Broncos haven’t proven much other than they’ve got a knack for being inconsistent. Another Sunday, another opportunity to surprise us.
San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars may have been looking up in recent weeks, but the 49ers still have a clear edge over their rivals on Sunday. The 49ers can likely cover -6.0 points ATS at Ever Bank field on Sunday. The Jaguars are +6.0 points ahead.
WA Football Team @ Carolina Panthers
Both WA Football and the Panthers had an impressive Week 10, including WA’s major upset against Tampa Bay. Sunday’s game at Bank of America Stadium will tell us if the home field advantage is enough to let Carolina cover their -3.0 point spread against Washington’s +3.0.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Las Vegas Raiders
The Bengals were pummeled by the Browns 41-16, but the Raiders are fresh off the back of a 41-14 blowout loss against the Chiefs. It’s a tight match ATS with the Bengals as -1.0 favourites and the Raiders at +1.0 at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.
Dallas Cowboys @ Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs will host the Cowboys at Arrowhead stadium on Sunday with a marginal -1.5 point head start. The Chiefs have reclaimed the top spot of the AFC West and the +1.5 Cowboys are the leaders of the NFC East, so expect a tight match.
New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Monday’s clash at Raymond James Stadium will see if Tampa Bay can snap their 2-game losing streak and overtake the Giants. The Bucs have to cover a whopping -11.5 points ATS, and the Giants are at a +11.5 point head start.
